BaRupOn LLC is seeking a Head of Finance / Project Finance Specialist to lead the financial strategy, capital planning, and investment structuring for its Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and Micro Modular Reactor (MMR) programs in the United States. This senior executive role will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the nuclear program portfolio, from initial project economics and funding design to long-term financial planning and investor communications.
As the primary financial advisor to the CEO, you will ensure that every financial decision is backed by thorough analysis and disciplined risk management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project finance within the U.S. energy or nuclear sectors, with a strong understanding of capital markets, federal funding mechanisms, and the financial intricacies of advanced nuclear projects.
This role is critical in helping BaRupOn navigate the financial complexities of large-scale nuclear energy development and secure the necessary capital for growth and innovation.
In this role, you will develop and refine the financial strategy for the SMR/MMR programs, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and regulatory requirements. You will oversee project financing, structuring debt and equity arrangements, and creating detailed financial models to manage cost estimates, cash flow projections, and return scenarios.
Securing federal funding opportunities, such as DOE loan guarantees, grants, and public-private partnerships, will also be a key responsibility. You will manage financial proposals, work with government stakeholders like the DOE and OMB, and ensure that BaRupOn remains well-positioned to access these critical funding mechanisms.
Collaboration with the Program Director and engineering leadership will be essential to ensure that project budgets align with technical scope, regulatory milestones, and schedules. You will oversee financial reporting to ensure that budgets and forecasts reflect project complexities while maintaining compliance with U.S. financial laws and NRC requirements.
Investor relations will be an ongoing focus, where you will prepare financial reports for the board and communicate clearly with investors and strategic partners, ensuring that financial insights and decisions are actionable.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with at least 10 years of experience in project finance or corporate finance, preferably in U.S. energy infrastructure or nuclear projects. You should be skilled in structuring and securing financing for large-scale projects and have a deep understanding of nuclear project economics.
Joining BaRupOn offers a unique opportunity to shape the financial foundation of an ambitious nuclear program. You will have a direct influence on the company’s growth and financial strategy, with competitive compensation and benefits, including equity participation tied to program and company milestones.
